Since 2017 Dusty has been training youth and young adults in boxing. Dusty’s vision is not only to raise up a generation of boxers, but of Kingdom influencers.
With each lesson physical and emotional strength is built in the students to carry the same strength from the ring into life…
Lahaina Fire Impact…
August 8th, 2023 forever changed the course of Contending For The Kingdoms’ future, as tragically the fires that swept Lahaina, destroyed all of their boxing equipment, gym, and the homes of most of the students, as well as Dusty and his family. This tragedy will not soon be forgotten by the students, parents, and all who live in Maui…
….Soon after the fires Dusty found hope to restart the boxing program and answer the calls of his students who were longing to go back to the positive outlet of boxing.
A plot of land has been secured near Lahaina, and by the Spring of 2024 we hope to have a full class schedule resumed. Boxing has been an incredible outlet to build confidence and heal trauma already since the fires…
